Restricted Access We are doing construction work between the Main Hall and Card Hall starting Monday. The wood shop will not be accessible between the buildings. Access between the two buildings may be restricted, as well.

Gate Closure We will look to close the gate earlier than expected. If you have not stopped by to secure your remote, or if you have not called to set your gate access code, please do this by Wednesday. We will close the gate Wednesday morning. Feel free to contact the office between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. through Monday through Wednesday of next week for gate access assistance.

Dave and Julie Krauth

It is with great sadness that we send this message. Dave and Julie Krauth have passed away after an automobile accident last week. We were informed of this news by a close family member. There is a link to their online obituary below. Our office joins with residents to continue keeping their family up with thoughts and prayers. Whether it is masonry work or a smiling, welcoming face, we understand the residents have helped a great deal in making Trails End RV Resort what it is today. We value each resident, whether current or moved on, and greatly appreciate their contributions to our community. Our office is available to support where we can.

Gate Remotes Available Now, Gate Closure Set for 7/19

The entry gate system is ready to go. Feel free to stop by the Main Office during business hours (8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., closed for lunch Noon – 1 p.m.) to turn in your $35 deposit and receive your remote. Only 2 remotes per lot can be issued. Account holders will be able to receive a remote for their lot only. (We will not be able to issue remotes to neighbors or friends.) Any resident who does not want to purchase a remote, you will be able to register your entry code. The Contractor Code will be sent through the Blog by 7/16. Going forward, the Contractor Code will be sent on the First Tuesday of each month on the Blog. We will also update the policies to reflect this change and post the revised copy on the website at a later time. The gate will remain open until 7/19 to allow residents time to get their remote from the Main Office.

Below is a list of FAQs. Feel free to let the office know if you need any additional information.

Resident Gate System Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Why is the keypad on the passenger side of the entrance? Due to the complex entry we currently have, the safest and most economical option was to install the keypad on the right-hand side of the entrance. We realize this may be an inconvenience for visitors, guests, and contractors, but our goal is to do the best we can to help ensure the safety of our residents and staff.

Why can’t I use my old remote? We are only using remotes that can be programmed by Trails End management. The remotes you received from previous ownership will not be programmed to the new system.

Can I use the money I spent for the old remote on a new remote? Unfortunately, we do not have access to, or record of, the money that was spent with the previous management and cannot issue a credit of any kind toward the deposit of a new remote. This is an example as to why Encore does not accept cash payments in any circumstance. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your deposit will be recorded with a receipt and you will be given a copy for your record.

Why do we need a Personal Entry Code and a Speed Dial Code? The Personal Entry Code (PEC) is for residents only. The Sped Dial Code (SDC) makes it easier for guests/visitors to call you from the gate as opposed to searching for your name each time they come. Residents should not give their PEC to anyone not on their account. The quickest way for guests/visitors to open the gate is with the SDC you provide them.

Can I give my Personal Entry Code to guests/contractors? No. It is important to understand this 4-digit number should not be used by anyone that is not the primary or secondary contact on file. If you have a remote, you essentially should not need to use your PEC unless the battery dies unexpectedly. Please only give out the Contractor Code or Speed Dial Code.

Will visitors and guests still have to sign-in at the Main Office? Yes. No matter how someone enters the property, they are still required to sign-in at the Main Office. Only residents and registered guests can access the park without stopping by the Main Office.

Can I pay the deposit with my monthly rent? The deposit must be a separate payment (check or money order only), but both payments can be made at the same time. Do not submit an online credit card payment for the deposit.

Can we purchase remotes for family/friends/guests? Remotes are only for residents. They are registered to the primary and secondary resident on file.

Will calls go to Canadian phone numbers? Yes.

Will the remotes connect in my car? Yes. You will have to keep the remote still, but if you want to use your car’s service and have the other remote in another vehicle, that is fine. The car’s service is linked to the remote’s account.

How can contractors access the park after business hours? They will have to work with the resident they are coming to do work for to open the gate. We have the Contractor Code for this.

I am out of town. How do I get access into the property without a remote? Call the Main Office before traveling to work out arrangements. At minimum, we will be able to set you up with your Personal Entry Code. We will make arrangements to get you a remote if needed.

How can emergency vehicles access the park after hours? Emergency vehicles have their own method of access. We have ensured we are in accordance to their needs for access.

Weekend Update

Gate Update: We are pending vendor system setup for the entry gate. We have everything else ready to go, but we need the communication system to be in tact before we get remotes out to everyone. We can finally see the finish line with this one.

Storage: As a reminder, if you are using a vacant lot for storage, or if you have a unit in the storage lot, please contact the main office to register your vehicle/unit. If you are using vacant lots to park vehicles daily, this also applies. Contact the Main Office so we can see how we can best help.

July 4: Enjoy the holiday this Sunday! The cookout is Encore-Trails End’s first event collaboration with the Resident’s Club. We appreciate the Club for hosting the residents and look forward to continuing to help sponsor events with the Club in the future. As a reminder, Monday’s meeting is at 9 a.m.

Main Office Closed We are closed Monday, July 5. We will be back in office Tuesday, July 6.

Enjoy your weekend, be safe.

Updates Worth Noting

Entry Gate – we are pending the software setup for the gate. Once the company has it installed for us, we will be able to program remotes and accept codes. We will send a message out once it is ready. We are hoping for this week. Fingers crossed.

Common Space Temperature – The sewing room temp was observed set at 58. The units will not cool rooms to that low of a temperature. As a reminder, please make sure you are returning the room temperature to the setting it was on when you entered the room. If we have to lock the thermostat in each room, we will not be able to adjust when requested. Let’s continue to work together to help conserve energy and reduce usage on our units.

As always, if you see something, say something.

Storage Update – Effective 8/1/2021

We sincerely appreciate your patience as we worked through our storage situation. We are offering storage options to our annual residents. If you are currently storing or parking your trailer/vehicle anywhere on the Trails End Resort property, this message is important for you to read.

Starting 8/1/2021, all storage vehicles and trailers are required to be registered with the main office. Each option will require a $50/month charge billed separate from your unit lease agreement. We will not charge for July, so you can register any time before August 1. There will not be a prorated charge option. All annual residents looking to store vehicles and trailers will have a couple options:

  1. Continue to store your vehicle in the storage lot. We are still working on a plan for the storage area, but do not want to move anyone who does not want to move or would prefer to be in this area. First come, first served.
  2. Park your storage vehicle in one of our designated areas on the South end of the RV lot. The spaces will be determined for you. This will be our best temporary option. First come, first served.
  3. Continue to use a vacant MH lot. RV lots not designated by management are not an option. If you decide to park on a vacant lot, management reserves the right to move your stored item when needed. First come, first served.

Additional details can be provided by the Main Office. Parking vehicles at vacant lots is considered a violation. A signed agreement will be required for all stored vehicles and trailers at Trails End Resort. Violators can be towed at the owner’s expense.

Exit Gate Ready for Business

The exit gate is operating as a normal functioning exit. You can now exit the property using the gate on the right side. The loop sensor on the ground will read your car and open. It will close behind you, as well. This only applies to the gate on the right side of the exit. Please use this side, as opposed to crossing to the left side to exit. Incoming traffic can still use the same side to enter the park. We are still pending remotes and system install, so the entry gate will be left open until the project is completed and we have remotes out to residents on site.

Water Shutoff, Upcoming Events

We will have to shut the water off again. This Thursday, 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., access to water at the resort will be cut off. The repair should take less than 2 hours. Just a little bit of FYI, as we come across leaks, repairs, and other issues, we are looking to install long-term solutions to prevent further damage and additional cut off for future events. Although patch work may be the most convenient option in most cases, we want to ensure we are as prepared as we can be for emergency situations as a resort. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these times.

We have posted our concert series for 2022! View our Upcoming Events at the top of the main page at your convenience! We will continue to post events and calendars on this site. If you know of a resident who is missing out, feel free to help them gain access via email or have them contact the main office.
